~What We Are Reading~
Bear: Mockingjay
Noodle: Various Readers
This week was emotional and hectic. We are now a one car family. Only once in our family history, for about 10 months, did we only have one vehicle. It was stressful needing to rely on relatives to get around, when my husband wasn't home. I know eventually the circumstances will change, but it could be awhile. My husband and I want to be 100% debt free, including mortgage. It could be a long road until we have another vehicle. This time it will be paid in full upon purchase and it likely won't be brand new, but that's okay. I am thankful for the paid off vehicle we have, thankful for our home, thankful my husband is employed and thankful the the supportive friends and family we have.
As far as school this week, we were not as productive as I wanted to be because we had a lot going on. Here's some of our week in pictures:
Bear dissected a frog for Biology.
He protested having his picture taken - takes after Dad.
Someone lost a tooth!!!
Noodle- Map Skills
Veritas Press Online Self Paced History - did one lesson.
Noodle has been learning about the Erie Canal - here is his rendering of it.
He is enjoying Multiplying. Abeka 2
Baseball season is in full swing. We have been doing 3 practices a week, but now that games have started we have 1 practice and 2 games. FUN!
Plan for next week: Work on the History Fair Project. We need to figure something out for a costume. It is a little challenging for us because I don't sew! Wish us luck!

I can "sew" anything with hem tape and hot glue! Dawson got his delivery of "frozen dead things" last week. We will start cutting them up soon!!!! Good for you on making sacrifices to get debt free.
My ds10 is dying to do a frog dissection! I hear you on the gratitude for everything we do have... we're trying to get out of debt too, so the one car will have to do, since it is all paid off (my dad's old car)!
Hope your upcoming week is a good one too!
We're preparing to become a one vehicle family, too, for similar reasons. It's going to take some getting used to!
We are a one car family also, though ours isn't paid off. We are working on our debt too. Live like no one else, so you can live like no one else. Right?
