Weekly Report 1/29 Better Late Than Never....

I intended to do this weekly report on Friday, but it just didn't happen.  The big news this week was I finished the school room makeover. I am loving it.  However, we managed to do some school in the midst of all that.

Bear did his usual - sorry - nothing too exciting to report here!  He helped a lot with assembling the school room.  He attended Scouts.  He helped rescue fish at the State Park after it was flooded. This was not a formal event - he and some other kids happened to notice there were fish trapped in a low level "mud puddle" and they caught them by hand and delivered them back in to the river.  I wish I had a picture, but it was too muddy for me to get close enough.

Noodle - here is his week in pictures:

Assembling Legos - yes this is school - it requires following directions and focus :)

Done!

A little George Washington copy work.

Song School Latin

Pinecar Derby 2012 - Best Paint Job- Again!  No placement this year, but that's OK.

Noodle's car - there are little speckles of glitter.
Also this week he did quite a bit of reading aloud, completed some OPGTR lessons, Explode the Code pages and some math.

All in all it was a good week.  Next week, no more delays - we will be back to very full time days.  Noodle will be thrilled.  {sarcasm}

I like the Legos. :-) Reminds me quite a bit of our school days.

Your school room turned out awesome! It really does look dreamy! And of course legos are school! ;)

How do you like you new school room? What was it about your previous room that you did not like? Hubby said we will have the money for our new room next week so I need to get busy completing our plan. Looks like a good week. Tell me about Sing Song Latin. I will be introducing Latin next year. I have only looked at Prima Latina.

Tiffany- I am enjoying the new room! I love the tidiness and the brightness. Song School Latin is a super gentle introduction to Latin with cute songs to help remember words and phrases. It isn't expensive either. We plan on moving to Prima Latina when we finish Song School Latin :)
